We are thrilled to announce Moontower Ball, Notley’s inaugural gala event to celebrate social impact in Austin, happening February 12, 2022 at the JW Marriott. This year’s Moontower Ball will be a night to remember!
Why Moontower?
Austin, TX is the only remaining city in the world with 18th and 19th century lighting structures built to illuminate areas at night before streetlights, known as a moonlight tower, or moontower, and only 17 remain today.
Notley’s annual gala will pay tribute to the Moontower and the neighborhoods it has illuminated by serving as a “beacon of amplification” for leaders making a real difference in the city.
Who Are We Celebrating?
The Changemaker Awards are an opportunity to celebrate impact and innovation-driven community leaders and organizations in Austin. Finalists for these awards have been carefully selected by our awards committee to represent the brightest in social impact across Austin. Finalists will be announced on a rolling basis leading up to the day of the event.
Awardees are selected across 8 categories:
- Philanthropic Champion
Awarded to an individual who gives of time and treasure.
- Innovative For Profit Company
Awarded to a company with a product or business model that is solving a community problem.
- Innovative Non Profit
Awarded to an organization with an innovative nonprofit model.
- Affordability Champion
Awarded to an individual or organization working to ensure Austin has more affordable housing.
- Innovative Startup
Awarded to a startup with an innovative solution to a community problem.
- Racial Justice Champion
Awarded to an impact organization working to address systemic racism.
- Community Leader of the Year
Awarded to an individual who rolls up their sleeves and is directly involved in effecting change.
- Rising Changemaker Award
Awarded to an individual under 35 who has made an impact in both the for-profit and non-profit spaces.
